International Demographics has produced syndicated research studies for the marketing, communications and media industries since 1971. Their primary offering, The Media Audit, is a qualitative audience survey conducted annually or semi-annually in 80+ local U.S. markets. It explores respondents’ consumer buying preferences and media consumption habits.
International Demographics began exploring options to update their existing Windows desktop survey analysis application and to expand support to mobile platforms. A variety of data processing tools and technologies were also needed, including read/write support of a previous IT vendor’s custom binary data formats without access to source code or technical documentation.
I oversaw the design of the new application’s user interface, implemented the data engine powering the application, and the needed data processing tools.
